Sandra Smith
Sandra Smith brings to FogPharma more than 20 years of HR experience in the life sciences and high-tech industries ranging from multinational companies to startups.
Prior to FogPharma, Sandra worked as the people strategy officer leading human resources for Onduo, a Type 2 diabetes joint venture between Sanofi and Verily. Prior to this, Sandra was at Microsoft Corporation, where she was the site HR leader and then the director of strategy and programs for the Microsoft New England R&D Center, where she set HR priorities and increased Microsoft’s presence, impact and visibility internally and externally. Earlier in her career, Sandra held HR leadership roles at Biogen, Synta Pharmaceuticals and Cereon Genomics, Monsanto’s joint partnership with Millennium Pharmaceuticals.
Sandra is the founder of the Kendall Square Technology HR Forum, which encourages human resources leaders from Microsoft, Google, Amazon, HubSpot, Facebook and other local high-tech companies to network and share best practices. From 2015 to 2018, Sandra served as chairman of the board for the MASSHIRE Workforce Board, a public-private partnership whose mission enables residents in Cambridge and surrounding areas to build careers aligned with the local industries and maximizes their economic self-sufficiency.
Sandra holds a B.A. in government from Harvard College.
