Chris Martin, Ph.D.

Chris Martin is an expert in peptide drug manufacturing, with extensive experience producing over one hundred peptide and oligonucleotide drugs and therapeutic candidates across all lifecycle stages, from pre-clinical to commercial and generic manufacturing. As Vice President of Manufacturing, he oversees the overall management of the manufacturing network and planning of the manufacturing strategy for the supply of clinical and future commercial products worldwide.

Before joining FogPharma, Chris served as senior director at Bachem Americas, where he led teams specialized in GMP manufacturing, process development, scale-up, CMC activities and the validation of clinical candidates. Prior to this, he worked at Bachem in Switzerland, focusing on commercial manufacturing and large-scale peptide drug production.

Chris holds a diploma in chemistry from the University of Freiburg and a Ph.D. in carbohydrate chemistry and vaccine development from the Free University of Berlin, Germany. He was also a postdoctoral fellow at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
